Before the summer ends, JC and Gracey travelled some 600 kilometers down to the Bicol region for our "huling hirit sa tag-init."

The second island we visited is Lahus Island, also known as Bitchara Island named after Filipino dancer Maribeth Bitchara. According to our tour guide, the dancer's family rented the island some time before and built some structures there for their accommodation. Unfortunately, some corals in the water were destroyed that time.

The elections is over. The people have spoken. But I am proud to say that I am not one of those millions who elected the yellow man as next president of this republic. I am proud to have chosen and voted for the best among the candidates. Even if my bet, the HONORABLE GILBERTO TEODORO did not win, he is still the best candidate who would have started the drive towards the road to change, reconciliation and further development in the Philippines.

Last Monday, I cast my vote, looked at the very popular PCOS machine, and prayed that my one vote for Gibo would be helpful in bringing in a new breed of change in this country. But like the millions who voted for Gibo, my vote was defeated by the bigger number of voters who cannot move on from the Marcos-Aquino rivalry and the over use of "Mom and Dad". My vote was also defeated by those who voted for Erap even if his track record and criminal conviction proved him to be unworthy of the seat of the presidency.

What I learned from this election is how to select the best candidate and stand up for him until the end. I also learned that the Filipino people is hard to teach when it comes to choosing the most capable leader of this land. The elections also affirmed the mediocrity of the electorate. I may be saying all things negative but those are really the thoughts and the feelings I have now.

Move on -- that's what we all have to do now. Support the incoming president? Maybe in time.

With just five short days left before the 2010 national elections in my beloved country - the Philippines, candidates are indorsed here and there by various religious and socio-political groups. The Iglesia ni Kristo indorsed the yellow men Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas. The CBCP indorsed JC delos Reyes. The Kingdom of Jesus Christ the Name above every name indorsed Gilbert Teodoro.

With all these, the elections is just getting more and more exciting. Nonetheless, I continue to support my candidate, Gilbert Teodoro!!!
